John Doughty was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1626 to 1629.
Doughty was an alderman of Bristol and was sheriff in 1606 and mayor in 1620. In 1626, he was elected Member of Parliament for Bristol. He was re-elected MP for Bristol in 1628 and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years. In 1629 he gave a charity of £100 for ten hand craftsmen.[1]
